Note #2

Hello,

While season one is a wrap, I’m excited to say there’s a few exciting projects that have come from curating the show that I’m taking some time to get off the ground.

Last week was the official celebration of 50 decades of Hip Hop so I dedicated some time to reflecting on the most pioneering and contagious cultures we society has experienced. There was no possible way I could not look back at the many looks of Lil Kim.

What I’ve been reading and watching.

Something to watch

This past weekend I watched Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop, an original Netflix documentary series, in two sittings only separated by the need to go to bed. Today, women are dominating Hip Hop and rap as a genre through unapologetic lyrics and business moves, street stopping style, and combining forces through much loved collaborations. This show by Netflix, fuses the experiences and stories from rappers, writers and experts on the women that influenced and changed culture.

Grab some popcorn and put your phone on ‘Do not disturb’ for this one.

Protect your mind.
